National Student Partnership 10th Anniversary Spring Celebration

National Student Partnerships (NSP) had their 10th Anniversary Spring Celebration at Mark Penn and Nancy Jacobson's home in Georgetown Washington DC. NSP is a nonprofit volunteer program founded by college students to assist low income members and those in need. NSP has grown to a national network of resource centers staffed by student volunteers from area colleges and universities that provide referral services such as housing, employment and financial services and affordable healthcare. The Catalogue for Philanthropy selected NSP as one of the best small nonprofits. Volunteers and sponsors, including co-founder Kristen Lodal, came together and celebrated the continued success of this worthy organization. To help understand their cause one volunteer said to me "give a man a fish and he eats for a day but teach a man how to fish and he can eat every day."
