The mission and vision of the Tigerlily Foundation is
- To educate, advocate for, empower and provide hands-on services and support to young women (15-40), before, during and after breast cancer.
- To end isolation among young adult breast cancer survivors.
- To improve the quality of life for young adult breast cancer survivors by creating vigilant self-advocates.
- To promote ferociously fearless females.
The EmPower Ball will have various TV media personalities and corporate sponsors presenting including mistress of ceremonies Natasha Barrett of ABC7/WJLA-TV and Channel 8. Rashida Jolley who is on tour with Lady Gaga and appeared on NBC's America's Got Talent will be special guest singer. The event will honor achievements of
- Jennifer Griffin, Correspondent, Fox News Keynote Speaker and Recipient of the Transformation Award
- Dr. Michael Schultz, Director of the Breast Center Cancer Institute at St. Joseph Medical Center Recipient of the Inspire Award
- Michelle Tull Bynum, Recipient of the KM Warrior Award
