Aviation Week Laureate Awards Gala 2010.  For over 50 years, this prestigious awards ceremony honors tomorrow's young leaders and those nominees who have contributed to civil, military and commercial aviation. It included the Aviation Week Heroism Award which honors the flight crew of US Airways 1549 in emergency landing their airplane in the Hudson River in New York City and saving everyone on board. Aviation Week is a division of McGraw-Hill Companies and is the largest multimedia information and services provider for the global aviation, aerospace and defense industries with over 1.2 million readers. Sponsors included industry leaders BAE Systems, Boeing, Cobham, Dassault Systemes, ITT Corporation, L-3 Communications, Northrop Grumman Corporation and Sandel Avionics.
