DC Cares volunteers for Malcolm X Elementary School on Martin Luther King Day

Event photography for charitable non-profit organization DC Cares. Huge number of volunteers for DC Cares came to help renovate and repaint the DC area schools on Martin Luther King day. I took photos at the Malcolm X Elementary School where they had a couple of volunteer projects including repainting the bathrooms and stair walls, and the murals of the Hungry Caterpillar and the Sea of Graduation Hats. Sometime we get so absorbed in our day to day lives that we kind of forget to give back to the community. These pictures will hopefully show some of that spirit of giving.
